Students can earn a Japanese minor by completing the third-year Japanese language courses (JAPA 351 & 352 or equivalents), plus 12 hours of either language or content courses in English. If the requirement description for the Japanese minor in your catalogue year is different, Dr. Horiguchi, the chair of the Japanese Program (firstname.lastname@example.org) will help you submit a petition to the UT administration.
It is also possible to major in Language and World Business with a concentration in Japanese.
Japanese Language Major was the highest-paying humanities major in 2019, according to FORBES and Business Insider.
